About this class

Yin Yoga is a gentle and meditative yoga style to relax in the present moment and restore the body mind and emotions.\n\nUnlike the more dynamic styles of yoga as in Vinyasa or Ashtanga Yoga the goal of Yin Yoga is not to strengthen or engage the muscles but to relax them. It helps you to reach deep connective tissues and make the fascia around the body more flexible. It also helps strengthen the ligaments that support the joints and connect the bonnes.\n\nThe postures (Asanas) are completely passive they are held for a much longer time (1-5 min) and targeting the muscles is no longer the main objective. Holding the asanas longer will allow you to feel a deeper connection to your body maintain attention and manage how far you go in each asana. \n\n• Experience for all levels.\n\n• Available in English and Spanish

How to get there?

Meet your teacher

Hello! \nI'm Sara \n\nMy first encounter with Yoga was in 2005 in my hometown La Laguna on the island of Tenerife. Despite my enthusiasm from the beginning my practice was not constant until I moved to Australia. That's when I started going regularly to classes and becoming more interested and involved in physical practice and meditation until today I have become a professional yoga teacher.\n\nYoga is much more than a practice it is a way of life. After years of practicing Vinyasa I realized that I wanted to gain a deeper understanding of the meaning of it all and decided to go to Bali to do my first Yoga teacher training course 200 hour Vinyasa Yoga in Ubud with YogaUnion where I met my partner Benjamin. After that experience I decided to go ahead and learn in the cradle of Yoga that's why I went to study the Capital of Yoga Rishikesh to do my 300 hours of Ashtanga and Hatha teaching with Shiva Yoga Peeth.\n\nNow I am back in Tenerife with a lot of desire to share everything I have learned so far. In short to show how Yoga has inspired my life and how it has changed the perspective in which I see the world and relate to it. I have a BA in Economics with a Masters in Education believe me I never thought I could be that and also a Yoga teacher but once you unlock the power within yourself there are no limits.\n\nYoga is union connection compassion light love and peace. Come over to explore what you have inside.
